Bacolod Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran was elected national deputy secretary general for Visayas of the Vice Mayor's League of the Philippines during the league's national convention at Marco Polo Plaza, Cebu City, Wednesday.
Familiaran said all officers of the VMLP were elected unopposed. He thanked fellow members of the league for their trust and confidence.
He said he was asked by the president of the VMLP Donnabel Joy Mejia if he was willing to serve as deputy secretary general for the Visayas of the league during one of their meetings. He also has the support of the provincial VMLP.
Familiaran said that after the elections, they will focus on continuing their service to their constituents and supporting the programs of the executive for the progress of their respective local governments.
Elected president was Mejia of Magsaysay, Davao del Sur; national executive vice president – Democrito Diamante of Tuburan, Cebu; national secretary general – Janrey Gavina of Panabo, Davao del Norte; national treasurer – Jose Antonio Veloso of Tagbilaran, Bohol; national auditor – Joaquin Emmanuel Pimentel of Vinzons, Camarines Norte;
National VP for administration – Gian Carlo Sotto of Quezon City; VP for operation – Dean Anthony Domalanta of San Mariano, Isabela; VP for finance – Jose Aquino II of Butuan, Agusan del Norte; VP for Visayas – Emerito Calderon Jr. of Samboan, Cebu and national PRO for Visayas - Earl Tidy Oyas of Catmon, Cebu.*
