Simultaneous police operations on Wednesday led to the arrest of three suspects and the recovery of suspected shabu and guns in Negros Occidental.

PLt. Col. Mary Rose Salve Pico reported that the buy-bust operation at Burgos Street in Brgy. 9, Kabankalan City, led to the arrest of a drug suspect identified as Danilo Abarro, alias Palog.

The arrest of Abarro yielded a Springfield Armory .45 caliber pistol with a magazine containing six live ammunition, a gun silencer, seven more rounds of ammunition for a 9mm pistol and .38 caliber revolver, suspected shabu worth P65,000 and its assorted paraphernalia, camouflage Camelbak sling bag, P100 in marked money, and P920 in cash.

Policemen also arrested Reynaldo Espanola, an hacienda laborer, at Hacienda Letecia in Brgy. Caduh-an, Cadiz City, for creating alarm and scandal, and illegal discharge and illegal possession of firearms.

Responding policemen recovered from Espanola an Armscor 9mm caliber pistol with a magazine containing eight ammunition and three fired cartridges, who was also observed to be under the influence of liquor, when he was apprehended, a Cadiz police report said.

A buy-bust operation in Brgy. RSB, La Carlota City, also on Wednesday, led to the arrest of Arnel Bana-ag, and the recovery of suspected shabu worth P4,000, shabu paraphernalia and P300 in marked money.*
