Basecom outplays AACI Trading
to win Fil-Sino 2nd Conference title

 

Basecom defeated AACI Trading, 77-68, to be crowned champion of the 2019 Fil-Sino All Asian Countertrade 2nd Conference Inter –Company Basktball Tournament Monday night at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Andy Tio led Basecom’s opening quarter surge as he connected with three triples while Rey Pandoro kept AACI Trading close with the same production.

While Basecom committed 15 fouls and found themselves in penalty early in the second quarter, Brian Coo and Marc Jalapa combined for 24 points to take a 45-38 lead at break.

Basecom moved ahead anew in the third quarter with Mark Yee and Ruel Bahian combining for 13 points for a 57-56 lead as they turned the tables on AACI Trading and took advantage of the early penalty situation.

With momentum on the Basecom side, Carlo Chu dropped 9 points and Dy added 6 to put the final nail on the coffin. AACI Trading failed to sustain its second quarter offensive form and could only manage 23 points in the last two quarters .

Chu paced Basecom with 13 points, Dy added 12, Miguel Mosquera and Yee dropped 7 points and Bahian made 6 points.

Coo finished with 14 points for AACI Trading as Jalapa produced 12, Nico Lopingco shot 8 points and Ralph Richard Tan with 6 points.*
