3 Fil-Am chefs in Bacolod
for DOTís food trip project

The three Filipino-American chefs are continuing their gastronomic journey in Bacolod City today.

Tom Cunanan of the famed Washington, DC’s Bad Saint, who is also the 2019 James Beard Awards’ Best Chef for the Mid-Atlantic; Charles Olalia, owner and manager of Ma’am Sir, one of GQ’s Magazine’s Best New Restaurants in America for 2019; and Grant Tabura, host of food show “Cooking Hawaiian Style” and winner of Food Network’s “The Great Food Truck Race”, will be in the city for two days for the Department of Tourism’s “Chefs’ Food Trip Project”, a two -week tour around the country’s most popular culinary destinations .

They kicked off their culinary journey on November 10 in Quezon City.

Neg Occ opens swine
AI center in Candoni

The provincial government of Negros Occidental opened the P1.05-million Swine Artificial Insemination (AI) and Laboratory Center in Candoni town yesterday.

Leading the launching was Provincial Veterinarian Renante Decena, who said this is the second swine AI center in the province. The first one, in Cadiz City, was opened in August.

He added that two more swine AI centers will be opened in Himamaylan City and E.B. Magalona town before the year ends.
