They did it again.
Duplicating their 23-0 victory in the previous barangay election, Asenso Tumandok led by Mayor Marvin Malacon and his entire slate again posted a 10-0 victory against their respective opponents in the May 13 local and national elections.
Malacon garnered 20,093 votes against 10,270 of Board Member David Albert Lacson, with a margin of 9,823 votes.
His running mate, incumbent Councilor Eric Matulac, also prevailed over his opponent, Hope Marey “Bambi” Depasucat, with a difference of 3,202 votes.
The Asenso Tumandok councilors who were also proclaimed by the Comelec, at about 4 a.m. yesterday, together with Malacon and Matulac, were Gilda Parcon, Joey Pugales, Gilet Parcon, Jun Gomed, Edgardo Agravante Jr., Reylan Gamboa Sr. and Joemarie Escala. Malacon said that Lacson conceded his defeat and congratulated him.
Malacon said he will continue the programs and projects he had initiated in his first three years as chief executive of EB Magalona.
The construction of the P140 million public market of EB Magalona is scheduled to start next month.*
