The Final showdown of the top four teams in the Negros Occidental High School Inter-class Bowling Fellowship hosted by Batch ’94 will be held today at the Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.
Class ’85 will be beaten-twice in the premiere division after topping the elimination phase with 7,599 pin falls, while Batch ’95 and Batch ’90 are the team to beat in class B and C department.
Hostilities will start at 4 p.m.
In the opening matches, seeded No.3 Class ’68 will go up versus No.4 Batch ’99 in the category B, as Batch ’98 tangles with Batch ’97 in bracket C.
The quarterfinal match between Batch ’96 and Class ’73 follows in the class A division.
The winner in separate division faces No.2 Batch ’94 (A); Batch ‘2000-Up (B) and Class ’70 (C) for the right to challenge the top seed in the battle for the tournament’s crown.
Class ’85 headed by newly-crown master bowler Edgar Vargas still holds the team highest single and triple with 578 and 1,633 pin falls.
The individual record holders are Joemar Baylon (Batch ’99) in the men’s highest pinning with 97, Joemarie Jopillo (Class ’87) in single with 154 and Raymund Galvan (Batch ‘2000-Up) in triple with 378.
In the distaff side, Jozel Balontong (Batch ’97) record in pinning is intact with 95, while Jennifer Jamora (Batch ’94) and Veronica Baylon (Batch ’99) single and triple mark are untouched at 145 and 338 pin falls.*HLG
