A fire broke out yesterday at the Ramon Torres National High School in Bago City, Negros Occidental, that burned two computer rooms and a stock room.
The estimated damage has been placed by the Bureau of Fire and Protection at P400,000, although it was declared as P1 million by the teachers.
Initial investigations of BFP showed that the fire started at the stock room, and spread to the adjacent building, partially damaging the two computer rooms.
Senior Fire Officer 1 Raul Diaz, Bago BFP arson investigator, said yesterday that no one was hurt during the incident the fire started at 8:05 a.m. and fire out was declared at 8:50 a.m.
Diaz said they are looking into electrical short circuits and a lighted cigaret as the cause of fire.*
