Reichelt part ways with Ceres
BY NIDA A. BUENAFE

After a five-year stint with Ceres-Negros FC, Fil-German winger Patrick Reichelt announced he is leaving the club but will be back “when the time is right”.

Reichelt’s departure from the team was announced yesterday by the club on its website, saying that the veteran footballers cited personal reasons for his sudden departure.

“In 2014, I came to join this beautiful club with nothing to expect and what I am leaving with is thousands of memorable moments, new friends, a home, and lots of new family. You have given me so much in my life and I will be forever grateful.” Reichelt told the club in a personal statement.

Vargas, Uy win Master Bowler title
in NOHS Alumni Bowling tourney

Class ’85 bet Edgar Vargas and Lea Uy of Class ’73 bagged the master bowler title in the men and women’s division of the Negros Occidental High Inter-class Alumni Bowling Fellowship hosted by Batch ’94 at the Negros Super Lanes in Bacolod City.

Vargas claimed the master’s crown by defeating top qualifier and twice-to-beat Felipe Boy Romero Jr. of Class ’73 in two games, 121-107 and 109-101 while Uy grabbed the title by default over No.2 Maribel Morales of Batch ’92.

Rated No.4 after the battle of the top 10 bowlers, Vargas earned the right to challenge Romero by outclassing No.3 Peter Deocadez of Batch ’94 in the quarterfinals and blew out Batch ‘2000-Up top player Raymund Galvan in the semis.
