Absolute, Pag-ibig post win
in Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Cup

 

The Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Cup 2019 kicked off with a twinbill in Jan 19 at the Tay Tung Po Hang Gym with Absolute getting gpast Nestea, 83-71, and Pag-Ibig blasting Creamy Delight, 82-59, in the Class B division.

Absolute's Nikol Medina exploded for 15 points while Brian Coo backed him up with 13 for a 33-23 advantage in the first quarter.

In the second canto, Efraim Valencia, Yanyan Dy and Luigi Coo combined for 19 points for a 53-38 lead at halftime.

Absolute continued with their dominance of the as the squad maintained a double digit lead through the second half for a 83-71 win.

Medina led all scorers with 18 points while Brian Coo added 17 and Efraim Valencia finish the game with 14 markers. Joshua Chua and Joshua Co led Nestea with 13 and 12 points, respectively

In the second game, Pag-Ibig Fund surged ahead in the first quarter, 19-7, behind Lito Dumdum's 11 points. Cesar Tan continued with Pag-Ibig's onslaught in the second quarter with 11 points while Johann Ledesma scored five for a commanding 39-22 lead at halftime.

Creamy Delight bounced back in the third quarter with a barrage of three pointers from Carmelo Ruiz and MJ Rosal to cut the deficit to 44-55.

But that proved to be their last stand as Pag-Ibig stepped up their defense in the 4th quarter with Dumdum and Tan scoring at will for a 82-79 advantage.

Dumdum and Cesar Tan led Pag-Ibig with 16 and 11 points, respectively while Carmelo Ruiz was the only one who scored double digits for Creamy Delight with 11.*
