Gender responsive orientation today

 

An orientation on Gender Responsive Local Government (GeRL) tools will be conducted for local government operations officers and gender and development focal persons of component cities and municipalities in Negros Occidental, 1:30-4:30 p.m. today at Ting Ting’s Restaurant in Bacolod City, a press release from the organizer said.

The “ GeRL Ka Ba” tools orientation is in connection with the establishment of the GAD database of the Provincial Planning and Development Office, that will be used for gender analysis and development of appropriate or responsive GAD programs, projects and activities.

The press release also said that Marie June Pavillar-Castro, PCW adviser, said the invitation of the participants to today’s orientation was assisted by the Negros Occidental Department of Interior and Local Government, headed by provincial director Carmelo Orbista, while the PPDO, headed by Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator Ma. Lina Sanogal, will provide the logistics during the orientation, through GAD focal person Jing Garcia-Naria.

Castro and PCW adviser chair, Andrea Llizares-Si, will conduct the orientation, and the LGU recognition program, respectively, the press release added.*
