The Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital in Barangay Mandalagan, Bacolod City, began accepting patients yesterday.

As of last night the hospital had eight patients, including an admission to the intensive care unit, and others in the emergency room, Dr. Evangeline Johnson, its consultant and spokesperson, said.

At the rate they are going, the 120-bed hospital could fill up in a couple of weeks, she said.

The Bacolod Queen of Mercy Hospital is located at the site of the former Bacolod Our Lady of Mercy Specialty Hospital that closed down last year.*
