The Bacolod leg of the National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) 3X3 basketball will start tomorrow at the STI WNU Gym with teams from NOPSSCEA member schools headlining the competition.
The tournament will be played in two divisions, the Born 2001 and Born 1999 with the winnings advancing to the regionals.
Seeing action in the Born 2001 category are: Tangub Christian Academy, Inc, Bata National High School, University of St. La Salle, STI-West Negros University, Colegio de Sta. Ana de Victorias;
St. John’s Institute, University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos, Maranatha Christian College, La Consolacion-Bacolod, Luis Hervias National High School, Sum-ag National High School, Colegio San Agustin-Bacolod, Bacolod Tay Tung High School and San Carlos City,
For the Born 1999 division, vying for the provincial title are Bacolod City National High School, STI-WNU, SJI, LCC-B. UNO-R, LHNHS and CSA-B.
The tournament is under the supervision of the Samahang Basketbol ng Pilipinas with its provincial head Tony Agustin, and tournament commissioner Bobby Tee.
Now on its 12th year, the NBTC is known as a premier program for basketball grassroots training for players and development of coaches.
This March, the league plans to stage a more competitive National Championship that will feature the country’s best teams from different provinces,
