NegOcc bids for 2021 Palaro hosting

A team from Negros Occidental headed by Vice Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson is in Manila to present the province’s bid for hosting the 2021 Palarong Pambana.

With the vice governor are Western Visayas DepEd regional director Gemma Ledesma, Negros Occidental Schools Division Supt. Portia Mallorca, Bacolod City Division Supt. Cynthia Demavivas, and Karen Dinsay of the Provincial Information Office, said DepEd Provincial Sports head Romeo Sison, also a member of the team.

Also bidding for the 2021 hosting of the school-based annual national sports competition is Roxas City in Capiz, host of the 2019 Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association (WVRAA) next month.

Pacquiao-Broner Jan. 20 fight
free live telecast in 8 venues

The City of Bacolod will be providing Bacoleños free live telecast of the Pacquiao-Broner fight in eight public venues in Bacolod City this Sunday.

These are the BAYS Center, Barangays Sum-ag, Banago, Taculing, Mansilingan, Handumanan, Villamonte and Granada.

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia has again been invited by Philippine ring icon and Senator Manny Pacquiao to carry the Philippine Flag in his match against Adrien Broner of the U.S.A in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday.
