Pacquiao-Broner Jan. 20 fight
free live telecast in 8 venues

The City of Bacolod will be providing Bacoleños free live telecast of the Pacquiao-Broner fight in eight public venues in Bacolod City this Sunday.

These are the BAYS Center, Barangays Sum-ag, Banago, Taculing, Mansilingan, Handumanan, Villamonte and Granada.

Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia has again been invited by Philippine ring icon and Senator Manny Pacquiao to carry the Philippine Flag in his match against Adrien Broner of the U.S.A in Las Vegas, Nevada on Saturday.

Leonardia said former police Director General Ronald “Bato” de la Rosa will be the belt holder of Pacquiao.

Pacquiao will defend his WBA Welterweight title against Broner at the MGM Garden Grand Arena in Las Vegas in a match billed “Return to Vegas.”

Leonardia said he will be leaving for the States this week and will be spending his own personal funds and that he has been using personal funds during all Pacquaio fights. He has not spent government funds during travels abroad for 15 years since he was mayor.

He said Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran will automatically take over as acting mayor.

Leonardia said he believes that Pacquiao still has that speed at 40 which is amazing. What his supposed prime should have been over and yet he looks just the same.

Pacquiao said he feels like he is just 25 years old, the mayor said.

He is an extraordinary boxer and is still a crowd-drawer, he added.*CGS
