Biņas OIC city police director

Senior Supt. Henry Biñas is the new officer-in-charge of the Bacolod City Police Office, following the relief of Senior Supt. Francisco Ebreo, Saturday night.

Chief Supt. John Bulalacao, Police Regional Office-6 director, said yesterday that Biñas will be doing a dual function as OIC of the BCPO and as head of the Regional Personnel and Human Resource Development Division.

Biñas was appointed after President Rodrigo Duterte announced Saturday night that he was firing Ebreo.

However, the appointment of Biñas as caretaker of BCPO is temporary while PRO-6 is waiting for an officer from Camp Crame, Bulalacao said.

To avoid vacuum of leadership in BCPO, Bulalacao said he immediately replaced the vacated post following the surprise order from the president.

“Soon if there is available (officer), Biñas will be replaced and will focus as R1,” Bulalacao added.*
