Bars offlimits, policemen told
BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Policemen are barred from entering bars, night clubs, other drinking places, karaoke bars, and illegal gambling dens.

PNP chief Oscar Albayalde instructed the Police Regional Office 6 yesterday to enforce the ban, which was also forwarded to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office and Bacolod City Police.

“This is a specific directive of the Chief Executive, violation of which is tantamount to grave misconduct that is punishable by dismissal from the service,” Albayalde said.

He also reminded the police to conduct themselves properly at all times in keeping with the rules and regulations of their organization in accord with the PNP Ethical Doctrine and the Code of Professional Conduct and Ethical Standards.*
