A group exhibit, featuring the works of La Consolacion College faculty members titled “Soliloquy (to talk to oneself)”, opened yesterday at the ground floor of Ayala Malls Capitol Central in Bacolod City and will run until March 15.
The exhibition features the works of LCC Architecture, Fine Arts and Interior Design faculty members Rosendo Aguilar, Edmundo Bacia Jr., Jose Carreon Jr., Robert de Aro, Larissa Del Cano-Pacheco, Primitivo Deocades, Audry and Dominic Diocson, Israel Gonzales, Mary Ann Manganti, Mark Marquiño, Andrea Cassandra Lei Meñosa, Vicente Rose Sarnate, Antonio Tejado, Bamboo Tonogbanua, Rukmini Yanson, and Randy Tolentino.
Featured is a conglomerate of various experiences, personal backgrounds, sentiments, emotions, perspectives, and vision, rendered in various visual media, styles, techniques, and deals about various themes and concerns.
While the works in the exhibition echoes the artists pre-occupation with varied personal and universal issues, all the works reveal every artist’s total engagement with the creative process and the joy it brings. There is surrender and finding solace in the act of creation, in shapes, forms and colors all in pursuit of and the creation of beauty.*
