3 nabbed in car chase

Three persons, including two women, who were arrested after a car chase 2:30 a.m. yesterday in Brgy. Lag-asan, Bago City, Negros Occidental, have been datained by the police.

The three suspects were identified by the Bago City police as John Michael Salgado, 25, and sisters Mary Rose, 25, Jeaner Nogales, 23, all residents of Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City.

Their arrest yielded five sachets of suspected shabu, a tooter and one lighter, the Bago City police said.

Initial police investigations showed that patrolling policemen led by PO3 Mark Caduada spotted aToyota Innova with plate number FHM 738 at the San Esteban Subdivision in Brgy. Lag-asan, Bago City, with three persons on board.

A car chase ensued after the driver of the Toyota Innova vehicle ignored the warning shot of the police. But the fleeing suspects were later cornered and arrested by the police.*
