Slain copís family calls for justice

A 21-gun salute was given to Senior Police Officer 4 Oscar Exaltado as he was laid to rest at the Bacolod Memorial Park in Barangay Alijis, Bacolod City, yesterday.

His family members called for justice and hope that the truth about the allegations hurled against him will eventually come out.

They said Exaltado was a good police officer.

Exaltado was in his uniform and on his way to work on board his motorcycle when two gunmen also riding a motorcycle, waylaid and simultaneously shot him multiple times, in front of the JR Torres High School in Barangay Singcang-Airport, Bacolod City, on January 26.

He was the deputy chief of Police Station 6 in Barangay Taculing, Bacolod.*
