PAL awarded for
promoting sports tourism

 

The Philippine Airlines was named Airline of the Year in the recent Philippine Sports Tourism Awards at the Savoy Hotel Manila, a press release said.

PAL joined several tourism entities and establishments, including government agencies, in being recognized for their efforts and contributions towards promoting sports tourism in the country.

The annual awards honored outstanding international and local sports events, such as Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific, the Philippine Football League, Visit Davao Summer Festival, and sports event organizers, including Sunrise Events Inc., City of Dumaguete, Shangri-La’s Mactan Resort & Spa, Subic Bay, Fundlife International, and Cebu Pacific Air for destination marketing, the press release added.*
