Ceneco rates up, Noneco down
BY MARCHEL P. ESPINA

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative Inc. has increased its power rates this August, while consumers of the Northern Negros Electric Cooperative can save on their bills with the decrease in its rates.

Jose Taniongon, OIC general manager of Ceneco, in an advisory yesterday, said there’s an increase of P0.3254 per kilowatt hour (kWh) in August, from P11.0103/kWh in July to P11.3357/kWh.

The 33-centavo increase was attributed to the power rate, universal charges, and value-added tax of the unbundled residential rates for the months of July and August.
