Lacson wants MPadilla
under Comelec control
BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

Negros Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday said Moises Padilla town should be placed under Comelec control, citing the killing of Councilor Jolomar Hilario and numerous violent incidents in the town.

The Provincial Joint Security Control Center has already recommended placing Moises Padilla town under “Category Red,” or an election area of grave concern.

Lacson, who stressed the need for the Comelec to take over Moises Padilla and expressed his sympathy to the family of Hilario, said “We have to save the electoral process in Moises Padilla, and allow the residents, who are qualified voters, to be able to vote for their choice of leaders”. moremoremore
