Cloud seeding in NegOcc set May
BY MARCHEL P. ESPINA

Good news to farmers in Negros Occidental is the scheduled cloud seeding operations in May of the Department of Agriculture in Western Visayas.

Senior agriculturist Dina Gensola said the provincial government will have no counterpart in the cost, as the DA Region 6 will take care of the budget.

Cloud seeding flights cost around P40,000 per hour, she said, adding that the DA-Western Visayas has allocated P2.5 million for the operations, to induce rains in the province.
