DA Region 6 prepares
for cloud seeding

The Department of Agriculture in Western Visayas is now working on the conduct of cloud seeding operations in the region.

Senior agriculturist Dina Gensola said that, based on the assessment of the DA in the province, there is a need for cloud seeding as rice farms were affected by the long dry spell.

“The DA is still in the procurement process,” she added.

She said the DA-Western Visayas has allocated P2.5 million for the cloud seeding operations in the province.
