41 Negros cops honored


The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office honored Monday 41 of its personnel for various accomplishments in law enforcement operations in the province.

Senior Inspector Aireen Cordua, spokesperson of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, saidyesterday that the 41 PNP personnel were given awards of commendation for their campaign against illegal drugs, wanted persons, illegal gambling, among others.

They were awarded during the Pagkilala Award ceremony at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Bacolod City, with Liga ng mga Barangay president and Board Member Juvy Pepello as the guest of honor and speaker.

Pepello was assisted by Senior Supt. Rodolfo Castil, provincial police director of Negros Occidental, in the distribution of certificates of commendation to the awardees, who included Supt. D’ Artagnan Katalbas, officer-in-charge of the San Carlos City Police Station, Supt. Noel Polines, Silay City police chief, Supt. Boots Aseo, officer-in-charge of the Talisay City Police Station, and Supt. Jonel Guadalope, officer-in-charge of the Kabankalan City Police Station.

The 37 other awardees are members of the San Carlos, Silay, Talisay and Kabankalan City Police Stations.*GPB
