Writ filed for release
of 2 caught at BCGC

A writ of habeas corpus has been filed before the Bacolod Regional Trial Court for the release of two persons nabbed for the distribution of alleged black propaganda against city officials at the Bacolod City Government Center, recently.

Lawyer Rey Gorgonio filed a habeas corpus petition for the release of detained Perfecto Señeres and Mark Anthony Diaz accused of distributing libelous black propaganda materials, mediaman Edgar Cadagat said yesterday.

“The trumped-case reflects the ghost of Hitler lurking around,” he said.

The hearing of the writ is set at RTC Branch 52 before Judge Raymond Joseph Javier 8: 30 a.m. today, Cadagat added.

Cadagat said the documents are not black propaganda materials because these bear their signatures. They are collecting payment from the city the amount of P3.774 million for the delivery of aggregate base materials and volcanic soil during the Puentevella administration.

They have written the city government several times but received no answer, he said.

Cadagat said the materials were used for road repairs and for the dumpsite in Brgy. Felisa.

He also said he is not a supplier, but he is only helping Wong, Demafiles and Señeres, who were all activists during their college days.*
