A government casual employee and two other drug suspects were arrested Sunday by the police in separate buy-bust operations in Negros Occidental, that also yielded P190,000 worth of suspected shabu.
Ferdimar Yap, alias Pato, a casual employee of the La Carlota City government, was apprehended Sunday night during a buy-bust operation at Yonque Street in Brgy. 3, La Carlota City.
The arrest of Yap, 50, who ranked number seven in the list of high value target drug personalities in La Carlota City, yielded 0.7 gram of suspected shabu worth P1,000, P300 in marked money, P43 in cash and a cellular phone.
On the same day, policemen also apprehended Marjhone Morales in another buy-bust operation at Hacienda Aniceta, Brgy. San Pablo, Manapla, Negros Occidental.
The arrest of Morales yielded P180,000 worth of suspected shabu and its assorted paraphernalia, P500 in marked money, a .45 caliber pistol with two magazines containing 10 ammunition.
A tricycle driver identified as Rex Encontro was also apprehended by the police for a similar violation at Rafael Salas Drive in Brgy. Balingasag, Bago City.
The police also recovered suspected shabu worth P4,500, P200 in marked money, P50 in cash and a tricycle.
Encontro also ranked number six in the street level target drug personalities of Bago City.
A certain Christian Fernandez, 22, of Brgy. Camandag, La Castellana, was arrested by the police for illegal possession of firearms in Pulupandan, Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of Fernandez led to the recovery a 38 caliber revolver with three live ammunition and three empty shells, and a jungle knife from his possession.*
