MassKara Bowl Invitational set

 

The two-day 2018 MassKara Invitational Open Trio Regional Bowling Tournament will open on Saturday.

The tournament will be held at the Negros Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Edgar Jerez, chair of the organizing Bowlers Club of Bacolod City, said at least 20 teams from Bacolod and the cities of Iloilo and Roxas are expected to see action in the tournament.

Up for grabs in the six-game series is P 60,000 cash for the top winner and a trophy each for the top three in the men and women’s categories.

Action will start after the 9:30 a.m. meeting of team captains and managers at the NSL lobby.

Jerez said the regional tournament format, rules and regulations will be applied in the handicapping of players.

Registration fee is P3,000 per team in the men’s division and P2,500 in the women’s side.

The top three squads in the men and women’s category after six games will play in an up-the-ladder format to determine the champion on Oct.14.

Meanwhile, the 21st BCBC Bowling Extravaganza matches will resume today at the NSL Bowling Alley.

Kami Mga Hubin of Robbie Elegado is leading in the 16-team pack in the men’s group with an aggregate of 2,986 pinfalls while Tiger Eye is on top in the distaff side with 2,790.

Tailing KMH are BCY 2 and BCY La Filipina of Bobby Yap with 2,920 and 2,917, respectively.

In the top 10 list after four rounds are ASSFBI Solid Strikers with 2,914; Davies “A”, 2,836; RBY, 2,804; Apollo, 2,794; Color Ideas, 2,777; Davies “B”, 2,771, and Center Line, 2,737.

Running second and third in the women’s side are Center Line Ladies and ASSFBI Ladies with 2,771 and 2,775.
