5 Bacolod cop stations get awards

The Bacolod City Police Office awarded five top-performing police stations and their personnel for the month of October, during its flag-raising ceremony at the BCPO headquarters, Magsaysay Avenue in Bacolod, Monday.

Awarded were Police Station 8, headed by Chief Insp. Ruel Culanag, for topping the anti-illegal drugs campaign, and Police Station 2, led by its chief, Senior Insp. Leo Estopa, for leading in the campaign against loose firearms, Chief Insp. Sherlock Gabana said.

Police Station 3, under the leadership of Senior Insp. Victor Paulino, and Station 4, headed by Senior Insp. Rey Tolosa Jr., meanwhile, were awarded for their efforts that made them first in the campaigns against wanted persons and illegal gambling, respectively.

Senior Insp. Jun Ray Batadlan, head of Police Station 9, received a certificate of commendation for the swift solution of the homicide case in his area of responsibility.

Police Officer 3 Lorene de Leon III of Station 9 was also commended for a successful buy-bust operation.

PO2 Maeca Biahe of Station 9 and PO1 Georgia Queen Cielo of Station 8 also got an award for being the best administrative police non-commissioned officers.

Senior Supt. Francisco Ebreo, BCPO acting director, thanked his men for the peaceful and successful celebrations of the MassKara Festival and Undas 2018, as their personnel continued to perform their functions and achieved higher despite the challenges that came their way.*
