Bidding held for city
school supplies: dad

Bacolod Councilor Caesar Distrito said yesterday that the bidding for school bags and supplies had been conducted on May 17 before the opening of the school year.

Distrito, chairperson of the Sanggunaing Panlungsod Committee on Finance and author of the ordinance providing free school bags and supplies to public elementary school students, said the Bids and Awards Committee is now doing the post qualification and assessment of the winning bidder.

Mayor EvelioLeonardia has also secured the assurance of the supplier that the school bags and supplies should be delivered on time, and that is before the opening of the school year, he said.

After its procurement, the educational materials will be distributed to its recipients in all public elementary schools of Bacolod City, he added.*CGS
