The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority will again hold a two-day special National TVET enrollment and jobs bridging program on April 5 and 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Negros Occidental Multi-Purpose Activity Center in Bacolod City, its press release said.
The event aims to search for more scholars needed in the construction and information technology-business process management, which are among the key employment generators.
It is also in response to the “Build, Build, Build” and “Jobs, Jobs, Jobs” programs of President Rodrigo Duterte, and to continually assist the returning overseas Filipino workers from Kuwait and other countries, the press release said.
The activity is in preparation for the upsurge in the demand for labor in the construction and IT sectors in the country and worldwide. The returning OFWs and others interested will have the opportunity to avail of Tesda scholarships for their eventual reintegration in the local labor market.
It will also be a perfect chance for industry partners to enlist the services of the most qualified tech-voc graduates, the press release added.*
