rules Fil-Chinese event


The Bacolod Tay Tung High School secondary athletics team secured the overall championship during the Filipino-Chinese Amateur Athletic Federation (FCAAF) Track and Field Invitational Cup during the weekend at Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

The surge of the Tay Tung tracksters was led by Antonette Jay Aguillon, who captured the gold medal in girls’ 100m dash, 200m, long jump, and triple jump. Aguillon was also a member of the 4x100 and 4x400 relay team that finished first.

With Aguillon in the relay competition were the Delotavo siblings – Ara Rahbea and Hannah Jandra, and May Therese Gula, who also topped the 800m run.

The BTTHS girls athletics team also collected six silvers in the 400m hurdles, 100m hurdles, 100m, 200m, 1500m and 3000m.

Palarong Pambansa-bound thrower Franz Gela Bintad won the gold in discus throw and a silver in javelin throw.

In the secondary boys’ competition, Ralph Vincent Acuña, Ralph Joshua Bangoy, Kenjie Okudiara and Godwin Tuliotoppe the 4x100 and 4x400 relayevens.

Acuña has his second gold medal in 200m run while Jaden Gil Rivera topped the 800m, 1500m, 3000m steeple chase, and the 5000m events.

In the elementary competition, Jade Cordova won gold in 100m hurdles and long jump and took home the silver in 400m hurdle.

Shalthea, the youngest of the Delotavos, won the silver in 100m, 200m and 400m.*
