Bago FC, Don Bosco, UNO-R booters
share honors in NOFA-DFL tournament

Bago Football Club, the Don Bosco Technical Institute Grey Wolves and the UNO-R Rams FC clinched the titles in their respective divisions of the NOFA- Dynamic Football League - First Conference for 2018 which ended Saturday at the Sta. Maria Football Field in Talisay City.

Bago FC, mentored by Rodrigo Sinconigue, blanked Montevista Elementary School, 2-0, to take the Under-13 Boys' crown.

In the Mixed Divisions, the DBTI Grey Wolves rampaged to a 13-0 domination of Rizal Elementary School, while UNO-R nipped Villa Angela FC, 1-0, to grab the titles in the Under-11 and Under-9 categories, respectively.

Former varsity standouts Raymandu Baldava and William Clauor coached the Bosconian Under-11 booters and the U-9 squad of UNO-R, respectively.

St. Scholastica's Academy U-11 squad finished third after trashing University of St. La Salle, 8-0.

In other matches for second runner-up honors, San Enrique FC prevailed over UNOR-A U-13 players, 2-0, with USLS trouncing Don Bosco-Zamoea, 5-1, in the U-9 group.

Named Most Valuable Players were Noel Franz Hervias of Bago FC (U-13), John Benedict Gulmatico of Don Bosco (U-11), and Chris Edward Tolinao, who scored the winning marker for UNO-R in the U-9 titular match.

Gulmatico booted in five of the 13 Grey Wolves' 13 shots in the finals against Rizal ES, while Hervias made one of the two Bago goals against Montevista.

DBTI U-11 players, together with MVP Gulmatico, took all the individual honors -- Benjamin Valenciano (Best Striker, who scored six markers in the championship match), Joshua Jay Padilla (Best Defender), Franz Dominic Padador (Best Midfielder, who made two goals in the final game) and Andri Salud (Best Goalkeeper).

The other individual awardees:

Best Striker - Joseph Galve of Bata Tigers (U-13) and Levom Lagahit of USLS (U-9), who scored all five of his team's output in the game for third place);

Best Defender - Franz Derick Liansing of Bago (U-13) and Shan Martin Villanueva of UNO-R (U-9);

Best Midfielder - Mel Dee Marcon of Montevista ES (U-13) and Caleb Kurtnell Treyes of Villa Angela (U-9); and

Best Goalkeeper - Ashley Sacapano of Bago (U-13) and Julien Andre Estomata of UNO-R (U-9).*AVDC
