6 NOSP scholars
graduate with top honors

 

Two grantees of the Negros Occidental Scholarship Program graduated magna cum laude from the Central Philippines State University in Kabankalan City, and four others ascum laude, during the CPSU 72 ndRecognition Rites held at the Clemente Sports Complex, Friday.

Evoyne Mae Galvan and Chelly Ann Nojas, graduated magna cum laude with the degree of Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, Major in Crop Science.Both are scholars under the Pagkaon Scholarship Category of the NOSP.

Jayson Tumbay, Joemarie Bitamor, Jonnilyn Villarin, and Renafel Yago, all graduated cum laude.

Tumbay and Bitamor, both Pagkaon Category scholars, took up Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Major in Crop Science.

Villarin and Yago are both scholars of the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Scholarship Category, and graduated with the degrees of Bachelor of Science in Education Major in Filipino, and Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, respectively.

Dr. Joel Perez, CPSU Vice President for Academic Affairs, and Prof. Pilipinas Ma. Jareño, Dean for Student Services Affairs, led the awarding of medals to the honor graduates.

Present during the activity were NOSP Head, Karen Dinsay, and Pagkaon Scholarship Coordinator, Michelle Nessia.

Dinsay lauded the scholars for their academic achievement, saying brighter opportunities are coming their way.*
