Ceres vs. Kaya
at Panaad April 4

With their away game against Boeung Ket FC in Match Day 5 of the AFC Cup 2018 Group F Qualifiers set April 11 in Cambodia, Ceres Negros FC needs to make a good impression at the start of the title defense bid in the PFL against Kaya at the Panaad Stadium in Bacolod City on April 4.

Ceres team manager James Dinsay told reporters that playing Kaya is a tough but everyone is up for the challenge at the start of their title defense in the PFL.

“We want to keep our title of course, and every member of the team is motivated for this upcoming season. We know we have to build on our past success, and winning the league again is one of our goals,” Dinsay said.

He added that playing in the Champions League and the ongoing AFC Cup qualifiers help the team prepare for the second season of the PFL.

“I feel that the early start of the AFC Champions League and Cup was a big help for us. We’re in shape, and fit. Players have gotten good minutes, and everyone is going to contribute well,” Dinsay said.

He said playing against the best teams in Asia help Ceres Negros improve as they treat every game with the same intensity.

For their first game in the PFL 2 nd Season against Kaya, Dinsay said the players who received a call up from the national team will re-join the team.

Among those who were tapped to play for the Azkals in the AFC Asian Cup Qualifiers against Tajikistan on March 27 at the Rizal Memorial Stadium are the Ott brothers Manny and Mike, team captain Carli de Murga, Patrick Reichelt, Kevin Ingreso, Jeffrey Christaens and Sean Kane.*
