Mass wedding held
in Moises Padilla

Forty-four couples from the barangays of Moises Padilla town in Negros Occidental joined a mass officiated by La Carlota Regional Trial Court Judge Cyclamen Fernandez, recently.

Mayor Magdaleno Peña, who was the inspirational speaker at the event, advised the newlyweds to make sure that they take seriously their role as parents to their children or future children, to raise them as good citizens, take good care of their needs and good health, and provide them good education, a press release said.

He also promised that the local government will provide assistance as much as it can to fulfill their role as responsible parents.

The mayor then requested all the newly married couples to do the longest kiss in history as witnessed by their sponsors and families around.

The mayor also treated them with free wedding cakes and lunch after the ceremony, the press release also said.*
