The Bureau of Internal Revenue in Bacolod City ordered the closure of an establishment for alleged under-declaration of sales and non-issuance of sales invoices yesterday.
BIR Revenue Region 12 Director Eduardo Pagulayan Jr. said that BIR Revenue District 77 issued closure orders to the three branches of Blyzer Trading, including its warehouse, owned by Antonio Pinto yesterday,
This is due to under-declaration of sales of more than 30 percent and non-issuance of sales invoices, Pagulayan said.
Reports said Blyzer started the business by acquiring stocks from Manila via courier. Most of the products the establishment sells are toys, ready-to-wear clothes, household and beauty products, and appliance parts.
Pagulayan said the closure order was issued after they conducted an investigation and surveillance on the establishment, adding that it will remain closed until they pay the taxes estimated at P5 million.
“It was triggered by a report from the office... we conducted investigation and surveillance activities to verify it,” he said.
The Blyzer branches closed are located at Brgy. Sum-ag, Libertad, and the Burgos Public Market.
He also warned other establishments in the city that the same will happen to them if they are non-compliant with their tax obligations, especially in issuing sales invoices.
Pagulayan said more closure orders might be served as they are monitoring several establishments in Bacolod and other provinces within the regional revenue jurisdiction.*MLG
