Police arrest 9 in city,

BY SHIELA G. GELERA

The one time-big time enhanced anti-illegal drugs operations of the Bacolod City Police Station yielded the arrest of nine drug personalities and the seizure of about P195,000 worth of suspected shabu in seven buy-bust operations, Thursday night up to yesterday.

The BCPO-City Drug Enforcement Unit and the Stations Drug Enforcement Teams conducted the simultaneous buy-bust operations.

Among those arrested were a High Value Target under the sub-group of the Kamalia Caunda drug group, two Street Level Targets, and six newly-identified drug personalities, including a drug surrenderer.

The operations resulted in the confiscation of 35 heat-sealed transparent sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 13 grams with a Dangerous Drugs Board value of P195,000, and several drugs paraphernalia, the BCPO reported.

“The Enhanced Anti- Illegal Drug Operation is BCPO’s way of conveying a message to all drug operators of its seriousness in the campaign against illegal drugs in Bacolod,” it said.*SGG
