“A great pride of Negrosanons.”
That’s how Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. described Police Cadet Fritz John Vallador of Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, who topped the 106 graduates of the Philippine National Police Academy “MARAGTAS” Class of 2018.
Marañon said he was humbled by the story of Vallador, the eldest son of a domestic helper, working in Spain.
Despite difficulties early in life, Marañon said Vallador rose above them to become a model law enforcer.
He is, indeed, an inspiration to young Negrenses, the governor added.
The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Occidental also passed a resolution on Wednesday commending Vallador for a job well done, on motion of Board Member Pedro Zayco, a former mayor of Kabankalan City.
Vallador and 75 other PNPA graduates are joining the Philippine National Police, 17 the Bureau of Fire and Protection, and 13 will serve in the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology.
President Rodrigo Duterte will officially induct the 106 members of the PNPA “MARAGTAS” (Magiting At Responsableng Alagad ng Batas na Gagabay sa Transpormasyong Alay sa Bayang Sinilangan) Class of 2018 as Police Commissioned Officers in the police, jail and fire service bureaus during their graduation rites on March 23 at Camp Gen. Mariano Castaneda in Silang, Cavite.
Vallador, who will receive the Presidential Kampilan Award and Plaque of Merit from President Duterte, gave a hint about his intention of joining the elite Special Action Force of the PNP.*GPB
