Ceres prevails anew against
Shan Unitedto keep unbeaten
run in AFC Cup Group F

Ceres-Negros FC powered through against a resurgent Shan United to produce a 1-0 win yesterday at the Thuwanna Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar.

With the win, the Busmen remain on top of Group F in the AFC Cup 2018 qualifiers with 10 points following victories at home against BoeungKet FC of Cambodia (9-0), Shan United (2-0), and a 1-1 draw against Home United in Singapore.

Against Shan United yesterday, Bienvenido Marañon converted a 15 th minute penalty for the Busmen while Tony Doblas played his best match in a Ceres uniform to maintain their unbeaten run in the competition.

Cobra books q’finals seat
in Fil-Sino Class B caging

Cobra advanced to the quarterfinals of the Fil-Sino Asia Brewery Cup Class B after a 76-65 win against Sunkist, at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym in Bacolod City Tuesday night.

Joining them in the scramble for the top spot is Absolute squad which eliminated Coco Fresh, 67-40, in the other game.

Cobra improved to 5-4 while Sunkist absorbed its second loss after nine outings.
