Ceneco election March 24
BY CHRYSEE G. SAMILLANO

Two incumbent directors of the Central Negros Electric Cooperative and four consumer-members filed their certificates of candidacy for a seat in the Ceneco Board for districts 2, 3 and 7, before the deadline yesterday, Roel Venus, Ceneco Member-Consumers Integrated Services Division chief, said.

Ceneco directors Jojit Yap and Dwight Carbon are seeking reelection for districts 3 and 7, respectively, in the March 24Ceneco election, he said.

Venus said there were four member-consumers who have filed their COCs for a seat in the Ceneco Board for District 2, since director Arnel Lapore is serving his third and last term, which is equivalent to nine years.

The Ceneco Screening Committee has until Friday to determine the final list of candidates, he said, adding that he has yet to identify the names of the four other candidates who have filed their COCs for District 2.

Venus said District 2 covers the southern portion of Bacolod City, District 3 covers the central portion, while District 7 covers the towns of Murcia and Salvador Benedicto, he said.*CGS
