Security readied for Holy Week
BY SHIELA G. GELERA

The Bacolod City Police Office is readying security preparations for Holy Week on March 25 to 31, this year.

The security plan covers all places of convergence such as churches, ports, terminals, malls, beaches and resorts, Senior Supt. Francisco Ebreo, officer-in-charge of BCPO, said yesterday.

Help desks will be installed in these places to assist the public, Ebreo said.

He said the more than 300 police officers from Police Regional Office-6 will be utilized to gear up security for the Holy Week.

The recently added 10 motorcycles to the BCPO from the Philippine National Police through the PRO-6, will also boost the mobility of the Bacolod police,he said.

The motorcycles are on top of at least one rescue patrol vehicle, that each of the 10 police stations have, he added.

BCPO is yet to finalize the total number of personnel to be deployed for this year’s Holy Week.*SGG
