Women’s protest today

 

Women in purple, red and pink clothing, and colorful head dresses with streamers and placards bearing women demands will stage a protest in Bacolod City today to mark International Women’s Day.

The women led by Partidong Manggagawa Negros Women will hold a forum on the Ta x Reform for Acceleration and Inclusion (TRAIN) law and Charter Change and the Women’s Development Center in Barangay Singcang at 10 a.m. today to be followed by a march to the Bacolod City marker for a short program, a press release from “Inday” Goco of PM Negros said.

They will carry streamers that say “Pagkaon, Trabaho, Katarungan, indi Chacha (Food, Jobs, Justice not Chacha)” and will flowers to women bystanders along the path of their march, it added.*
