Karmex Gold beats Top Ace
in 2nd ABC-Leads Agri Cup

Karmex Gold demolished Top Ace, 105-86, in the 2nd ABC-Leads Agri Cup, Monday night at the Ayala Northpoint Clubhouse in Talisay City.

Karmex unleashed a 17-4 bomb in the first six minutes of the payoff period turning a tight game into a blowout with brothers Jeremy and Brian Coo doing most of the damage.

As Karmex were finding their offensive groove, Top Ace struggled converting their shots as they were outscored 31-12 in the final period.

Karmex, with a 1-1 win-loss record, was led by Brian Coo with 25 points as Dante Ma and Miguel Mosquera chipped in 13 and 10 points respectively. Ian Secaluya added 9, Jeremy Coo and Carl Ginete had 8 apiece while Angelo Lizares and Luigino Lacson finished with 7 points each.

Top Ace, with its 1-2 card, was paced by JayR Salga with 19 points while Efraim Valencia and Willy Dasal turned in 15 and 11 points. Philip Abong and Mark Carmona combined for 17 points.

In the second game, Mower bullied its way to the win column with a 90-84 victory over previously unbeaten Ignite.

Mower established a lead early with Yanyan Dy leading the way finishing a team-high 21 points.

Despite a gallant effort from Ignite’s Tommy Andren and Hans Schulze in the second half, Mower just had enough firepower to hold on to the win.

Supporting Dy was Richard Arroyo and Taboy Corriente with 17 and 12 points respectively. Garry Poloyapoy added 8 while John Canobis, Froilan Fuentes, and Danny Yusay finished with 6 points each for Mower (1-1).

Andren paced Ignite (2-1) with 24 points as Schulze and Arjay Jamero contributed 17 points each while Ronan Batralo made 7 points.*
