BCPO Fun Run on March 10

The Bacolod City Police Office will hold a fund raising fun run event dubbed “Dalagan Suporta Para sa Kapulisan” on March 10, to support police officers who are facing charges while performing their job.

Senior Insp. Armilyn Vargas, BCPO public information officer, said the event will have the 3K and 5K categories.

The proceeds from the fun run will be used to support police officers, who were charged while in the performance of their duties, Vargas said.

“Usually, it is difficult for the charged police officers since they are the ones personally hiring their legal counsel and paying them with their own money,” Vargas said.

The fun run starts at the Bacolod City public plaza going to Lacson Street (Avenue Suites) for the 3K run, and to Rolling Hills for the 5K run, back to the finishing line at the plaza.

Registration fee for the 3K category is P100 and P75 for students, and P150 for the 5k category and P100 for students. Singlets will be available at P250, Vargas said.

Registration starts at4:30 a.m. on Saturday while pre-registration is ongoing at the BCPO Headquarters.

The top three finishers will receive prices, Vargas said.*SGG
