Leadforce destroys Mower, 110-84,
to post win in ABC Leads Agri Cup


Leadforce bounced back from a loss with an emphatic win against crushing Mower, 110-84, in the 2nd ABC-Leads Agri Cup Thursday night.

Paolo Avecilla sizzled from the 3-point line hitting six triples en route to a game-high 26 points, 14 of them in the third quarter where they outscored Mower, 35-18, to lead by 17 points.

Leadforce continued their offensive onslaught in the final quarter to win by 26 points.

Marvin Tan backstopped Avecilla with 23 points, Luigi Coo contributed 17, Martin Jalandoni with 14, Christopher Yulo added 11 while Edward Castellano and Rixie Ureta finished with 10 and 9 points, respectively.

Andrei Dadivas and Richard Arroyo paced Mower (0-1) with 12 points each while Froilan Fuentes finished in double figures with 10. Andy Tio scored 9, Axo Yao had 7, while Derek Sibug, Gerard Benedicto, and Garry Poloyapoy chipped in 6 apiece.

In the second game, Ignite notched their second straight win in as many games, with a 100-90 victory over Top Ace.

Ignite pulled away from a tightly contested game by finishing with a 12-0 run in the last 3 minutes of the 3rd period.

Top Ace never recovered and eventually suffered their first loss of the tournament.

Adrian Cuaycong topscored for Ignite (2-0) with 12 points while Tommy Andren and Arjay Jamero chipped in 11 and 10 points respectively. Emil Agana and Scott Heria had 9 apiece, Reygin Oquiana, Christian Maravilla and Mark velez combined for 21 points.

Joshua Co led Top Ace (1-1) with 23 points, Dicken Valdez added 19, Efraim Valencia and Archie Piccio scored 11 points each, Mark Carmona had 10 while Philip Abong and Popoy Jamero finished with 9 apiece.*
