Megaworld Corporation announced yesterday that it will start its P28 billion township project, called The Upper East, in Bacolod City this year, that is expected to be fully-developed in the next 10 years.
This was announced by Senior Assistant Vice President and head of Public Relations and Media Affairs, Harold Geronimo, and VP for Sales and Marketing of Megaworld-Bacolod, Rachelle Peñaflorida, yesterday, who said that the whole township project will provide 250,000 direct and indirect jobs for Negrenses.

The Bacolod City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office was again adjudged the regional winner in the Highly-Urbanized City category of the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council’s Gawad KALASAG Awards 2018 at rites held in Iloilo City Friday.

Megaworld condo to rise

Property giant Megaworld Corporation is now starting its development in the eastern part of Bacolod, and its first condominium project in the city will also be constructed, its officials said yesterday.
It was announced at the press launch of the masterplan of the Upper East, one of the township developments of Megaworld in Bacolod, that the pre-selling and construction of their first mid-rise residential development, called “One Regis”, within the 34-hectare property will also start.The condominium project is part of the P28-billion investment at the Upper East, eyed to be Bacolod’s new and modern central business district, Rachelle Peñaflorida, vice president for Sales and Marketing, said.
