GMA takeover may delay Cha-cha
BY GILBERT P. BAYORAN

MANILA – The ascent of Pampanga Rep. Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to the position of House Speaker may cause further delay in the move of President Rodrigo Duterte for Charter Change and the shift to federalism.

Senator Juan Victor Ejercito said yesterday that members of the Senate decided during the caucus that they will not entertain any calls for a joint session with the House of Representatives for charter change, unless Arroyo is removed.

Arroyo was officially installed Monday night, immediately after the State Of the Nation Address of President Duterte, as the new House Speaker, replacing Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez. moremoremore
