Chu scores 31 points to lead
HTP Dot 4 past Rev-X Pantra

 

Carlo Chu sizzled with 31 points as HTP Dot 4 demolished Rev-X Pantra, 100-79, while Rev-X Terrain escaped Blaze Racing ,73-70, in the 35 and Below division of the Fil-Sino Petron Cup 2018 at the Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym, Wednesday night.

Chu exploded for 19 points in the secondquarter as HTP Dot 4 pulled away, 58-40 at the break. Mar Macainan added 9 points to support Chu while Luigi Coo and Vincent Tan combined for 19 points as they provided the resistance for Rev-X Pantra.

HTP Dot 4 kept the lead in the second half as Rev-X Pantra failed to recover. Chu added 12 more points to his credit while Brian Coo lend support with 10 points. Daven Dreyfus and Cesar Tan scored 9 and 8 points, respectively, for Rev-X Pantra.

Coo finished with 14 points as Mar Macainan delivered 12, Clarence Quingco scored 9, Dante Ma had 7 points and Alexis Somo with 6 points for HTP Dot 4.

Luigi Coo tallied led Rev-X Pantra with 19 points, Dreyfus added 18 , Cesar Tan contributed 14, Vincent Tan shot 13, and Ruel Bahian with 9 points.

In the other game, Rev-X All Terrain outscored Blaze Racing for one quarter but it was enough to pull off a come-from-behind victory.

Blaze Racing led at the half, 37-27, as Ramon Khey delivered 10 points and teammates Nico Yap and Alvan Rodriguez combined for 13while Brix Arrobang had 9 points for Rev-X All Terrain.

In the third quarter, Terrain captured the lead, 57-51, as Angelo Lizares nailed three triples to lead a balanced offensive which also got contribution from BambamGilbor , Miguel Mosquera and Bambam Guevarra.

It was a tight battle in the fourth quarter as Racing outscored Terrain, 19-16, but the latter held on to the lead as top scorer Robbie Jalandoon nailed the two important free throws for the final tally.

Arrobang finished with 15 points, Lizares shot 12, Dandan Ong produced 10 points, Guevarra with 8, Mosquerra, Ralph Ong and Jalandoon scored 6 points each.

Khey paced Blaze Racing with 13 points, Onjo Yap had 10, and Nico Yap and Rodriguez drilled 9 points each.*
