BY CHRYSEE G. SAMILLANO
The date for the 2018 MICE (Meetings, Incentive Travel, Conventions & Exhibitions) Conference, or MICECON, to be held at the SMX Convention Center in Bacolod City, has been reset to November 27-29, Bacolod Councilor Em Ang said.
Ang, chairman of the Bacolod Sangguniang Panlungsod Committee on Tourism, said the MICECON earlier scheduled in August, was postponed due to the resignation of Cesar Montano as Tourism Promotions Board chief operating officer, and because the Tourism Secretary is new.She said Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat wants all programs that are already in the pipeline checked, and these include the MICECON. She also wants the budget for the event reviewed.
